Changes to the public API.

Within v1, changes are additive only: new commands, events, fields and error codes. Ignore what you do not know. A breaking change would ship as v2.

2026-10-21

  • First version of the API: SMS over REST, sms.received and sms.status webhooks, calls over WebRTC, ephemeral keys.
  • Calls: GET /v1/calls, recordings of every answered call (GET /v1/calls/{id}/recordings/{track}) and the call.recorded webhook with 7-day links; client_ref on POST /v1/calls.
  • Webhooks: the delivery log (GET /v1/webhook-endpoints/{id}/deliveries) and POST /v1/webhook-endpoints/{id}/test (webhook.test).
  • Errors carry param and doc_url; a rate limit of 25 requests a second per key answers rate_limited with retry_after_ms.
  • Every session an incoming call rings hears call.state when it stops ringing; a session opened during a ring gets call.incoming.
  • Ephemeral keys no longer read SMS or webhook endpoints; a key restricted to a line sees only that line.
